My one enduring great hope I have had is that revival would come to America. I don’t believe it will start here because we are not hungry enough to pay the price that true revival requires. But if a revival fire would break out in Africa, I believe it could spread here to America.
I have been crisscrossing Sub-Saharan Africa since 2004, preaching revival wherever I go. I have put all my efforts and resources into these ministry trips because I believe that the last great revival spoken about in the Book of Joel will start in Africa. There is a hunger for revival and a need for God in Africa that is not seen in other areas of the world. The people are so hungry for God there that they will literally walk for 12 to 13 hours just to hear the Word of God preached. I believe thisw desperation will birth the final end-time revival God has promised in the Book of Joel.
The Word of God tells us repeatedly that mercy brings mercy. America and England evangelized the world. They brought this gospel to the entire world, including Africa. Especially Africa! And maybe, just maybe, the fire that starts there will spread to us here in America that sent it over there in the first place. Because of this, there is a greater response and willingness to not only receive the message but to spread it throughout their community and the rest of their country. I believe that the fire that starts there is what God will use to bring revival to the rest of the world, and ultimately, back to America.
That is what I am fighting for. That is why I have invested it all into this ministry. I believe that the revival that we ignite over there is our only hope to seeing it come back to America. I want my kids and grandkids to experience an outpouring of the Holy Spirit like we have in times past.
May God remember us in mercy, break up the fallow ground of our hearts, and restore unto us the grandeur of His Presence and send revival.
